In total, the embassy has successfully repatriated 39 Iraqi citizens, 25 in 2024 and 12 in the previous week of 2025, who sought to migrate illegally to Europe through Libya.

He noted that efforts included protecting migrants from the dangers associated with human trafficking networks.
