Defence Minister Rajnath Singh engaged in bilateral meetings with Ministers from Armenia, Malawi, and Madagascar during Aero India 2025, which took place in Bengaluru. He met with Suren Papikyan from Armenia, Monica Chang’ Anamuno from Malawi, and Lieutenant General Sahivelo Lala Monja Delphin from Madagascar to discuss enhancing defence cooperation among their nations.

Rajnath Singh highlighted the productive nature of his discussions via posts on the platform X. He mentioned his meeting with Malawi’s Defence Minister, stating, “We agreed to expedite signing of Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation to strengthen strategic interests.” In a separate post, he reflected on the significant advancements in defensive ties with Armenia and his agreement with Papikyan to further deepen this collaboration.

During his address at the Global Investors Meet 2025, Rajnath Singh emphasized Bengaluru’s role as India’s technological hub in producing foundational AI models. He recognized the city’s contribution to the aerospace industry through Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, stating that Bengaluru is vital for India’s future innovations.

While discussing Cooperative Federalism, Singh noted the collaborative spirit between Central and State governments, using the GST framework as an example. He credited Prime Minister Modi’s leadership experience as a former Chief Minister for fostering this cooperative culture.

At the Defence Ministers’ conclave titled “BRIDGE–Building Resilience through International Defence and Global Engagement,” Singh addressed the increasing global conflicts and challenges such as terrorism, cybercrime, and humanitarian crises. He advocated for a holistic international approach to security, promoting peace and development through inclusivity and cooperation.
