Recently, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South America engaged in humanitarian efforts inspired by their faith. In Brazil, they provided essential supplies to flood victims, while in Paraguay, members packaged food kits for local families in need. Additionally, volunteers in Bolivia refurbished a community building, demonstrating their commitment to service and support for vulnerable populations throughout the region.

In Brazil, severe flooding and landslides caused significant displacement, affecting thousands. Following these events, the Church mobilized promptly, delivering over 2,000 food baskets, 3,000 gallons of drinking water, hygiene kits, mattresses, and blankets across the hardest-hit areas, such as Coronel Fabriciano and Ipatinga.

Church members and local volunteers collaborated in Paraguay to address food scarcity in the Chaco region. The initiative yielded 3,000 non-perishable food kits, supplied to two communities, San Eugenio de Mazenod and San Leonardo de Fischat, as part of a broader solidarity campaign organized with the Archdiocese of Asunción.

In La Paz, Bolivia, 238 volunteers united to refurbish the José Soria Welcome Center. Under the leadership of Stake President Carlos Vásquez and his counselors, they gathered painting supplies and engaged in extensive cleaning and repairs, demonstrating their compassion and commitment to serving vulnerable individuals in the community.
