General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), convened discussions today in Rabat with General Zéphirin Mamadou, Chief of Staff of the Central African Armed Forces. The meeting, held at the FAR’s General Staff headquarters, is part of General Mamadou’s official visit to Morocco from January 17 to 23, accompanied by a notable military delegation.
The dialogue between the two military leaders focused on strengthening bilateral military cooperation, with a particular emphasis on training initiatives and the exchange of visits. Since 2014, Morocco has played an active role in peacekeeping operations in the Central African Republic, deploying a contingent of 750 soldiers under the MINUSCA mission.
