The Iraqi Parliament is scheduled to resume its sessions on Saturday, March 8, following a recess, as announced by the Parliament’s media office. Mohamed Anouz, a member of the Legal Committee, indicated that evening sessions will be held during Ramadan to facilitate the progress of legislative work before the conclusion of the current parliamentary term.
The upcoming session will feature a vote on the fourth amendment to the Industrial Investment Law pertinent to private and mixed sectors, in addition to a proposal from the Ministry of Education to reinstate the trial system. Lawmakers will also deliberate on a report from the temporary parliamentary committee focused on state property protection.
