Mpotjoane further extended an invitation for President Trump to visit Lesotho.
Lesotho has received substantial U.S. assistance for public health initiatives, particularly in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Trump referenced a contribution of $8 million aimed at LGBTQI+ support, although much of the aid focuses on HIV prevention, as nearly 25% of Lesotho’s population is infected with the virus, according to the United Nations.
