In response, UNICEF has partnered with the Botswana Red Cross Society, allocating US$50,000 for the distribution of essential supplies in affected areas. This includes hygiene kits, safe drinking water, and oral rehydration salts, with established links to health facilities and child protection measures within evacuation centers.
Furthermore, UNICEF has issued an appeal for US$860,000 to assist government efforts in delivering life-saving aid and undertaking long-term recovery initiatives aimed at restoring stability and support for communities impacted by the floods.
