The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 match between Namibia and Canada was delayed due to wet outfield conditions. Namibia comes into this match after a loss to the Netherlands, while Canada had their latest game abandoned. Currently, Canada is positioned third in the points table, and Namibia is sixth.

Namibia faced Canada in match number 57 of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 at the United Cricket Club Ground on March 9. Unfortunately, the toss was delayed due to a wet outfield, preventing the teams from starting on time. Namibia entered the match following a disappointing 53-run loss to the Netherlands, where they were bowled out for just 106 runs while chasing a target of 161 runs.

In contrast, Canada’s previous match against the Netherlands was abandoned due to rain. At present, Canada occupies the third position on the points table with 17 points amassed from 13 matches, whereas Namibia is sixth with 12 points from 17 matches played.

The squads for both teams are as follows. Namibia’s lineup includes JP Kotze, Nikolaas Davin, Jan Frylinck, Gerhard Erasmus (captain), Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Malan Kruger, JJ Smit, Zane Green (wicketkeeper), Ruben Trumpelmann, Bernard Scholtz, Ben Shikongo, Michael van Lingen, Lohandre Louwrens, Tangeni Lungameni, Jan de Villiers, and Shaun Fouche.

On the Canadian side, the players are Navneet Dhaliwal, Nicholas Kirton (captain), Yuvraj Samra, Pargat Singh, Harsh Thaker, Shreyas Movva (wicketkeeper), Saad Bin Zafar, Dillon Heyliger, Shahid Ahmadzai, Parveen Kumar, Kaleem Sana, Aaron Johnson, Dilpreet Bajwa, Akhil Kumar, Kanwarpal Tathgur, and Jatinderpal Matharu.

In summary, the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 match between Namibia and Canada faced a delay due to weather conditions. Namibia seeks to recover from their recent loss to the Netherlands, while Canada looks to build on their current standing in the league despite their last match being abandoned. Both teams are set to field competitive lineups as they aim to improve their positions in the points table.
