Kyrgyzstan Reports Lowest Inflation in EAEU Countries for January 2025

Armenia led the inflation rate among EAEU countries at 1.4 percent, followed by Russia at 1.2 percent and Kazakhstan at 1.1 percent. Conversely, Kyrgyzstan recorded the lowest inflation rate of 0.6 percent, alongside Belarus at 0.7 percent; both nations experienced monthly inflation rates below 1 percentage point.

When examining the price trends of meat and meat products, Armenia reported an overall price decline of 1.2 percent during January. Belarus experienced a slight increase of 0.1 percent, while Kyrgyzstan saw an increase of 0.6 percent, followed by Russia with 0.7 percent and Kazakhstan with 1.1 percent.

In response to the rising inflation, bread prices increased minimally in Kyrgyzstan by 0.2 percent, while Armenia witnessed a rise of 0.3 percent. Belarus observed a 0.4 percent increase, with Kazakhstan and Russia seeing increases of 0.8 percent and 1 percent, respectively. Overall, food products within EAEU nations became 1.3 percent more expensive in January.
