Roscan Gold Corporation has welcomed the Government of Mali’s decision to partially lift the suspension on mining title applications. Effective March 15, 2025, the Mining Administration will process applications for renewals and transitions, supporting the advancement of Roscan’s Kandiole Gold Project, which has reported significant Mineral Resource Estimates.
Roscan Gold Corporation has expressed its approval regarding the recent announcement by the Government of Mali concerning the partial lifting of the suspension on mining title processing applications. This decision marks a significant advancement for both the mining sector in Mali and for Roscan’s Kandiole Gold Project, reducing risk for ongoing operations.
Effective March 15, 2025, the Malian Ministry of Mines will resume processing applications for the renewal of research and exploitation permits. This includes reviewing applications to transition from research to exploitation phase, as well as permitting the transfer of exploitation permits. This progress follows efforts to enhance governance and operational efficiency within Mali’s mining sector.
Roscan Gold has demonstrated considerable potential at the Kandiole Gold Project, reporting an indicated Mineral Resource Estimate of 27.4 million tonnes at a grade of 1.2 g/t gold, equating to 1.02 million ounces. An additional inferred Mineral Resource Estimate amounts to 5.2 million tonnes at 1.2 g/t gold, or 0.20 million ounces, utilizing a gold price of $1,500 per ounce.
Furthermore, Roscan has identified an exploration target estimated between 8 million tonnes at a grade of 1.0 g/t Au and 30 million tonnes at 0.8 g/t Au, outlining potential for significant growth in mineral resources alongside favorable exploration results outside the currently defined areas.
