Key highlights include 75 Points of Interest, handcrafted airports, and various challenges. Additionally, the CAP-4 Paulistinha aircraft has been introduced for users of the simulator, enhancing the overall experience.

The recent release of World Update 19 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 introduces an extensive array of features focusing on Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana. This free update showcases breathtaking natural scenery, vibrant city recreations, and numerous landmarks, which were developed in collaboration with Bing Maps, Maxar, and Vexcel to ensure high-quality imagery utilizing various geospatial data sources.

World Update 19 encompasses 75 Points of Interest (POIs) across the updated regions. Notable sites include the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, Fort Zeelandia, Fort Diamant, and Monte Roraima. Additionally, it features four hand-crafted cities in Brazil, specifically Brasilia, Ouro Preto, Rio de Janeiro, and Sao Paulo. Seven meticulously designed airports developed by Gaya Simulations are also part of this update, enhancing the flying experience.

The included airports are: Santarem-Maestro Wilson Fonseca International Airport (Brazil), Foz do Iguacu International Airport (Brazil), Fernando de Noronha Airport (Brazil), Santos Dumont Airport (Brazil), Kaieteur International Airport (Guyana), Zorg en Hoop Airport (Suriname), and Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni Airport (French Guiana). Furthermore, this update offers three Discovery Flights, three Landing Challenges, and three Bush Trips for owners of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

From March 17th, users can anticipate three exclusive Brazil-themed activities for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which includes a helicopter challenge, a rally race, and a low-altitude challenge. World Update 19 is readily available for download at no cost through the MSFS Marketplace.

Additionally, Microsoft Flight Simulator has unveiled the Local Legend 20 aircraft, the CAP-4 Paulistinha. Developed in the 1940s, this Brazilian light aircraft serves as a trainer and resembles the Piper Cub. It is powered by a Franklin 4AC 4-cylinder piston engine, providing a range of 310 miles and cruise speed of 87 MPH, with a service ceiling of 13,000 feet.

Developed in partnership with iniBuilds, the CAP-4 Paulistinha features six liveries and is complementary for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 users as a reward for their patience with launch-related challenges. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 owners, however, may purchase this aircraft via the MSFS Marketplace for $14.99.

In summary, the release of World Update 19 significantly enriches Microsoft Flight Simulator with detailed geographical and cultural content from Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana. The introduction of the CAP-4 Paulistinha aircraft further diversifies the user experience. Both updates reflect the commitment to continuous improvement and expansion of the simulator’s offerings.
