The National Authority for Cybersecurity (AKSK) has mandated internet providers in Albania to formally confirm the cessation of TikTok access by Thursday.
The decision to implement the ban was made in December notably following a tragic incident where a 14-year-old boy was fatally attacked by a schoolmate after disputes ignited on social media. TikTok responded by asserting their commitment to clarity, stating that their investigation suggested that related videos were shared on a different platform, not their own.
