Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update 19 Unveils Brazil and More

Microsoft Flight Simulator has launched World Update 19, featuring Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana, presenting numerous points of interest, handcrafted airports, and additional challenges. Furthermore, the CAP-4 Paulistinha aircraft is introduced as part of the Local Legend series, available for free to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 users.

Microsoft Flight Simulator has released World Update 19, featuring Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana for both 2020 and 2024 versions. This complimentary update showcases breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cities, and notable landmarks, enhanced through collaboration with Bing Maps, Maxar, and Vexcel. The integration of diverse geospatial data, aerial photographs, and satellite imagery has resulted in the most realistic representation of these regions.

World Update 19 encompasses 75 Points of Interest (POIs) within Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana, including iconic sites such as the Christ the Redeemer statue and Fort Zeelandia. Additionally, four TIN cities in Brazil—Brasilia, Ouro Preto, Rio de Janeiro, and Sao Paulo—are included. The update also features seven meticulously crafted airports developed by Gaya Simulations, enhancing the flying experience.

The airports featured in the update include notable locations such as Santarem-Maestro Wilson Fonseca International Airport in Brazil and Kaieteur International Airport in Guyana. Furthermore, it offers three Discovery Flights, three Landing Challenges, and three Bush Trips available exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 users. Starting March 17th, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will introduce additional content, such as a helicopter challenge.

Additionally, the CAP-4 Paulistinha, a historic Brazilian aircraft, has been released as the latest Local Legend aircraft. Designed by Companhia Aeronáutica Paulista in the 1940s, this light aircraft was primarily utilized as a trainer. It features a Franklin 4AC engine and boasts a range of 310 miles with a cruise speed of 87 MPH.

Developed in partnership with iniBuilds, the CAP-4 Paulistinha is available free for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 users as a gesture of goodwill. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 owners may purchase it from the MSFS Marketplace at a price of $14.99.
