Sandvik Secures Major Order for Underground Mining Equipment in Peru

Sandvik has received a SEK 320 million order for underground mining equipment from Buenaventura, scheduled for delivery between late 2025 and early 2026. Sandvik has secured a significant order for underground mining equipment from the Peruvian mining firm Compañia de Minas Buenaventura (Buenaventura). Valued at approximately SEK 320 million, this order has been recorded in the first quarter of 2025.

The order encompasses loaders and drills intended for use in three of Buenaventura’s underground mines: El Brocal, Yumpag, and Uchucchacua. Delivery of the equipment is projected to commence in the third quarter of 2025 and will extend through the first quarter of 2026. Additionally, Sandvik will offer spare parts, components, and maintenance services throughout the equipment’s operational lifespan.
