AI-powered tools such as Adobe Firefly, Canva, and Midjourney are becoming integral to Uganda’s graphic design ecosystem. These innovative platforms enable designers to generate layouts, manipulate images, and even produce original artworks at an unprecedented pace. This capability has proven advantageous for Uganda’s small businesses and startups, where cost-effective, high-quality design solutions are vital.

Jerome Tuhairwe, a freelance designer in Kampala, highlights the efficiency of AI in meeting client needs. “With AI, I can generate a poster design in minutes—what used to take me hours,” he remarks, underscoring the technology’s value in meeting strict deadlines for events or product launches.
