Kobo Resources Expands Exploration Portfolio in Côte d’Ivoire

Kobo Resources Inc. is expanding its exploration efforts in Côte d’Ivoire via new earn-in agreements and license applications, partnering with NESDAVE MINING SARL to acquire additional land for gold exploration. The Company’s long-term strategy focuses on developing new discoveries and optimizing its position in this promising gold region.

Kobo Resources Inc. has announced an expansion of its exploration strategy in Côte d’Ivoire through new earn-in agreements and license applications. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to capitalizing on gold exploration opportunities in this promising West African region known for its rich mineral resources.

The company has partnered with NESDAVE MINING SARL to enter two earn-in agreements, acquiring an additional 166.78 km² of exploration ground. This collaboration will enhance Kobo’s position within one of Côte d’Ivoire’s most prolific gold districts, increasing the company’s footprint in the region significantly.

Kobo also established KUNIBOA MINING Co. with local partners, wherein it holds a 40% ownership stake. KUNIBOA is currently pursuing two additional exploration license applications totaling 181.59 km². This strategy aligns with Kobo’s long-term objectives to explore and develop new gold discoveries in Côte d’Ivoire.

CEO Edward Gosselin emphasized the importance of expanding their exploration footprint in Côte d’Ivoire as integral to Kobo’s growth strategy. He asserted that the new agreements and applications create opportunities to build upon their exploration successes within the region’s highly prospective gold landscape.

The earn-in agreements allow Kobo to acquire a 90% interest in two exploration licenses over four years by investing CFA F 550 million (approximately C$1.25 million) each. The initial investment for both licenses is approximately C$171,500. Each agreement includes a 1% net smelter return to NESDAVE, with a provision for Kobo to buy back half of the NSR.

The new Kuniboa applications are strategically located near the Company’s existing license and are expected to receive final approval in 2025. The licenses are situated approximately 40 and 60 km from the Kotobi license, expanding Kobo’s prospective exploration area in the region.

Kobo Resources is focused on developing its Kossou Gold Project and enhancing its exploration portfolio in Côte d’Ivoire, which is known for hosting several multi-million-ounce gold mines. The Company has already made significant strides, conducting extensive drilling and geology work that has defined promising gold-in-soil anomalies and substantial mineralization.

Beyond the Kossou Project, Kobo is actively pursuing further exploration opportunities and land acquisitions in Côte d’Ivoire. Their commitment to growth positions them favorably within one of West Africa’s most promising gold exploration districts. The Company trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol “KRI” and aims to deliver high-quality gold prospects driven by experienced leadership.

Kobo Resources Inc. is strategically expanding its exploration portfolio in Côte d’Ivoire through new earn-in agreements and additional license applications. This effort enhances its opportunities in a region renowned for gold mineralization. The collaboration with NESDAVE Mining and the establishment of KUNIBOA highlight Kobo’s dedication to systematic exploration and growth. With significant advancements at the Kossou Gold Project and continued exploration efforts, Kobo is well-positioned for future successes in West Africa’s gold sector.
