In a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, it was noted that Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence issued reports between March 16 and 18, alleging six ceasefire violations by Armenian forces. However, the Armenian Ministry of Defence conducted an inspection and confidently refuted the claims.
The Armenian government emphasized an earlier proposal made on June 22, 2024, for creating a joint mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations, stating, “Azerbaijan hasn’t given a positive response to this day.” Additionally, on March 17, Armenia expressed its readiness to investigate any substantiated claims made by Azerbaijan if they are formally conveyed.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister’s Office asserted that, as of now, Azerbaijan has not provided any evidence or substantiation for the alleged violations. It was stated that Armenia’s Armed Forces are committed to a peaceful agenda and have neither the reason nor order to breach the ceasefire.
Armenia urged Azerbaijan to initiate discussions on the date and location for signing the peace agreement, highlighting that the draft addresses critical peace-building issues and proposes mechanisms for future negotiations. In January 2025, Armenia presented a written proposal regarding railway cargo transportation and bilateral arms control that awaits a response from Azerbaijan.
