This gathering attracted football fans nationwide who had the unique chance to take photographs with the trophy while enjoying music and vibrant festivities.

The trophy is scheduled to return to the United Kingdom on March 17, 2025. Many fans shared their excitement with Citi News, noting the significance of witnessing the trophy of what they consider the “greatest league” in the world. The event coincided with notable Premier League matches, including Chelsea’s clash with Arsenal, where the Gunners secured a 1-0 victory. The day also featured Manchester United, currently positioned 15th in the league, competing against Leicester City.

Sabina Manu, Head of Marketing at Guinness Ghana Limited, expressed her gratitude towards the football enthusiasts who attended the event. She emphasized that the PL Trophy Tour aims to bring the Premier League trophy closer to Ghanaian supporters. The trophy made its grand entrance to Accra on March 15, 2025, as part of this weekend’s celebrations.

Measuring 3ft 5in (104cm) and 2ft (61cm), the prestigious trophy was showcased at a press conference at Marriott International Hotel on Friday. The event featured special guests, including Ghana’s assistant coach John Paintsil and former Black Stars defender John Mensah, along with Guinness Ghana officials, such as Marketing Director Estella Muzito and Marketing Manager Sabina Manu.
