This investment, which consists of both equity and subordinated loans, is intended to facilitate MPower’s expansion efforts across the African continent, particularly in Togo, where the company has an established presence.
The company aims to utilize these funds to enhance its operations in Togo, where it already offers a range of solar products, including electric pumps, solar panels, security floodlights, and energy storage systems. With this financial support, MPower plans to broaden its distribution network and introduce more financing options to ensure access to solar energy for households and small enterprises in the region.
MPower operates in seven different African nations and has successfully sold over 50,000 units of solar equipment to date. The successful acquisition of funding was made possible through partnerships with crowdfunding platforms Klimja and Republic.
