AUC Chairperson Commends Doha Meeting Between DRC and Rwanda Leaders

The Chairperson of the AUC, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, welcomed the recent Doha meeting between the leaders of Rwanda and the DRC, praising their commitment to dialogue and peace. On March 18, 2025, a trilateral meeting was convened in Doha, under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, between President Paul Kagame of Rwanda and President Félix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), praised this initiative, highlighting its significance for dialogue and peaceful resolutions concerning the crisis in Eastern DRC.

Chairperson Youssouf commended the leaders for demonstrating remarkable commitment to peace and security in their regions.
