Hannan Metals Identifies Significant Copper Porphyry Target at Previsto, Peru

Hannan Metals Limited has outlined a significant copper porphyry target at its Previsto project in Peru, identifying 750 m of continuous mineralization with widths up to 192 m. This finding is strategically located near previously discovered high-grade gold mineralization and indicates substantial expansion potential. The company’s exploration efforts continue under the direction of CEO Michael Hudson, with drilling programs anticipated for Belen in 2025.

Hannan Metals Limited has announced the identification of a substantial copper porphyry target at its 100%-owned Previsto project in Peru. This discovery follows systematic channel sampling across four parallel creeks, revealing 750 meters of continuous copper mineralization with widths reaching up to 192 meters. Situated merely 1,300 meters from previously identified high-grade alkalic gold mineralization, the discovery underscores the project’s expanding potential.

The copper mineralization identified at Previsto exhibits continuity confirmed by channel sampling, with significant widths remaining open in various directions. Surface sampling indicates consistent copper grades despite extensive leaching, suggesting that higher grades could be located within unweathered zones, with results from recent channel samples including notable intercepts of copper mineralization.

Hannan’s dedicated team is actively working to further delineate the gold and copper mineralization in the region. CEO Michael Hudson expressed enthusiasm about the discoveries and the exploration potential, emphasizing the exceptional strike length and the operational advancement underway at Previsto, alongside preparations for future drilling at Belen in the second quarter of 2025.

Geological characteristics observed at Previsto indicate notable porphyry-style alteration and mineralization. Specific alterations include moderate to strong phyllic alteration, abundant pyrite and chalcopyrite, and various stockwork vein assemblages. The mineralized footprint has been defined by 20 channel samples, with gaps resulting from colluvial cover. Exploration efforts continue to reveal a promising and extensive mineralization footprint.

The Valiente Project, encompassing the Previsto area, is located in central eastern Peru. The project is characterized by rugged terrain and elevations ranging from 800m to 2000m above sea level. Hannan has been prospecting the land since 2021, having staked significant mining concessions that cover unexplored terrain for potential porphyry targets. Recent achievements include the necessary environmental permits for upcoming drilling activities scheduled for Belen.

Going forward, Hannan aims to systematically explore and drill test its land holdings within this emerging mineral belt, which has rapidly evolved from an unexplored site into multiple identified prospects. Drawing from extensive experience in mineral projects, Hannan maintains its commitment to sustainable resource development in the context of a low-carbon economy.

In summary, Hannan Metals Limited has successfully identified a significant copper porphyry target at its Previsto project in Peru. The expansive copper mineralization, confirmed through systematic sampling, highlights the site’s intricate geological features and promising exploration potential. With ongoing efforts to delineate mineralization and prepare for future drilling, Hannan positions itself strategically within a rapidly evolving mineral landscape that supports sustainable resource development.
