Vietnam regards Mozambique as a priority partner in Africa, with intentions to strengthen cooperation in multiple sectors. Ambassador Trần Thị Thu Thìn emphasized expanding relations during her meeting with President Chapo, who acknowledged the success of their partnership. Both nations aim to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in modern industries and with the support of the Vietnamese community in Mozambique.

Vietnam holds Mozambique in high regard, considering it a priority partner in Africa, as articulated by Vietnamese Ambassador Trần Thị Thu Thìn. During her credential presentation to Mozambican President Daniel Francisco Chapo in Maputo on March 19, she expressed a desire to expand the existing friendship and cooperation for mutual benefits.

President Chapo congratulated Ambassador Thìn on her appointment, expressing confidence that her expertise will enhance the relations between the two nations. He noted the successful development of their longstanding cooperation, particularly highlighting the Movitel joint venture as a symbol of their partnership, and looked forward to increased Vietnamese investments in Mozambique.

Ambassador Thìn reiterated her dedication to bolstering the relationship between Vietnam and Mozambique, especially in emerging fields like mining, telecommunications, and digital transformation. She encouraged the Mozambican government to assist the Vietnamese community, which would further solidify the friendship between the two countries.

Additionally, she conveyed greetings from respected leaders of Vietnam to President Chapo upon his election as Chairman of the Mozambique Liberation Front and his presidential inauguration. The ambassador also extended an invitation for President Chapo to visit Vietnam in the near future.

Vietnam remains firmly committed to enhancing its cooperation and friendship with Mozambique, focusing on mutual development and peace.
