All parties agreed to maintain consultations on the situation.

On March 23, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi engaged in conversations with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia and Egypt regarding Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza. During a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Araghchi condemned the attacks and called for collective regional action to address the situation, according to an official statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s stance, denouncing the Israeli aggressions while emphasizing the need for regional cooperation to mitigate further violence. In a separate conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Araghchi reiterated his condemnation of the assaults, denouncing the interference with humanitarian aid as “flagrant violation” of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

Minister Abdelatty stressed the importance of consultations and diplomatic initiatives to curb escalation. Both ministers recognized the necessity of continuing their discussions on ongoing regional developments and enhancing diplomatic ties to address the situation accordingly.

The discussions among Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt reflect a concerted effort to address the Israeli attacks on Gaza. With strong condemnations from both Iranian and Saudi foreign ministers and a call for collaboration, the situation underscores the urgent need for diplomatic solutions to prevent further escalation in the region.
