During his meeting with Colombian Ambassador Edgar Rodrigo Rojas Garavito, President Marcos highlighted potential sectors for cooperation, stating, “I believe there’s more that we can do, that we can explore many other sectors, and strengthen and deepen the relations between our two countries.” The Philippines and Colombia have had diplomatic relations since July 5, 1946, with approximately 100 Filipinos currently residing in Colombia.
Cambodian Ambassador Sin Saream also pledged to advance cooperation between his country and the Philippines, emphasizing the shared prosperity of both nations. President Marcos responded positively, noting, “I welcome you to the Philippines and I look forward to even stronger relationships between our two countries and to strengthen what is already a very strong union between our two countries.” Diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Cambodia were established on August 20, 1957, and around 7,500 Filipinos live in Cambodia today.
Ukrainian Ambassador Yuliia Oleksandrivna Fediv expressed her commitment to fostering bilateral relations, with a focus on peace and mutual respect. President Marcos reaffirmed his support, saying, “We hope to continue – we will always support you in your efforts for peace.” The Philippines has maintained diplomatic relations with Ukraine since April 7, 1992, and currently, 24 Filipinos reside there.
