Belararox Identifies Copper Targets in Botswana’s Kalahari Copper Belt

Belararox (ASX: BRX) has identified over 20 copper and zinc anomalies at its Kalahari Copper Belt Project in Botswana. The company plans to conduct various surveys and a 2,000-meter drilling program starting July 2025 to test these targets. The project is strategically located near established copper mines, heightening its exploration potential.

Belararox (ASX: BRX) has identified over 20 prospective areas at its Kalahari Copper Belt (KCB) Project in Botswana using soil sample geochemistry. The anomalies, with strong correlations of copper and zinc, span six tenements. A review of geological and geophysical data has pinpointed three regions of higher prospectivity, aligned with known copper deposits.

The company is set to initiate AMT and ground-based gravity surveys in two of the identified regions. Additionally, airborne electromagnetic surveys will be conducted in a third area to refine drill targets. A 2,000-meter reverse circulation (RC) drilling program is slated for July 2025 to evaluate these prospective targets.

Soil sampling across the northeastern KCB area involved the collection and analysis of 1,984 samples with pXRF Vanta technology. Data validation was carried out against wet chemistry analysis at the ALS-Johannesburg laboratory, while publicly available geophysical data was processed by Fathom Geophysics to delineate deeper structures.

The exploration strategy has concentrated on three primary regions: the northeastern area around Maun, the central region near the MMG Khoemacau Hub, and the western region adjacent to Cobre’s Kitlanya West and Ngami prospects. Planned surveys include ground-based gravity assessments for PL0085, PL2742, and PL2746, AMT surveys for PL770, PL771, and PL772, and airborne electromagnetic surveys for PL773 and PL2743. These investigations aim to locate high-potential targets for drill testing, anticipated to commence in July 2025, which may also include diamond drilling to better understand the target units and stratigraphy.

In summary, Belararox is advancing its exploration efforts at the Kalahari Copper Belt Project, identifying multiple prospective areas for copper and zinc. The planned surveys and a forthcoming drilling program indicate a strategic approach to identifying and testing potential mineral deposits in this promising region of Botswana. The proximity to established mines enhances the project’s significance within the mining sector.
