Mr. Doyo stated, “I have announced my intention to run for president in the forthcoming General Election. My priorities reflect the challenges our nation is facing.” He emphasized the necessity of fostering a culture of responsible taxpayers while focusing on sector-specific developments, including strengthening mining, expanding access to technology, and advocating for girls’ education.
During the event, Mr. Doyo’s wife, Halima Rajabu, voiced her unequivocal support for his bid, highlighting the significance of employment for youth and expressing confidence in her husband’s leadership capabilities. She further remarked on the critical need to address corruption, pledging to ensure accountability among public servants involved in government projects.
