Iran Prepares Response to Trump’s Letter Amidst Media Speculation

Iran will respond to Donald Trump’s letter after a detailed review, according to Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei. He noted that the letter’s content aligns closely with Trump’s public positions and denied any relation to Foreign Minister Araghchi’s visit to Oman, which was focused on regional matters. President Pezeshkian criticized U.S. policies, asserting Iran will not negotiate under threats.

Esmail Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, announced that Iran will formulate a formal response to the letter from former President Donald Trump once a comprehensive evaluation has been conducted. He noted that the media’s interpretations do not reflect the accuracy of the situation.

During the final weekly press briefing of the Iranian year 1403, which concludes on March 20, Mr. Baghaei refrained from revealing the contents of Trump’s letter. However, he stated that its substance does not deviate substantially from Trump’s previously articulated views.

Baghaei further clarified that there is no connection between Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s visit to Oman and Trump’s letter. He emphasized that the visit was intended to address regional developments and recent discussions held in Jeddah.

Iran’s formal response will be communicated through the proper channels once the examination is finalized. Additionally, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian criticized the Trump administration’s aggressive stance toward Iran, asserting that the Islamic Republic will not engage in negotiations with the U.S. under conditions of intimidation or pressure.

Iran is preparing a formal response to Donald Trump’s letter following a thorough evaluation. The spokesperson asserted that media interpretations are misleading and emphasized that there is no correlation between the foreign minister’s visit to Oman and the letter. The Iranian leadership maintains a firm position against negotiations under duress, highlighting the country’s sovereignty and diplomatic principles.
