Forensic teams identified at least 15 individuals, many of whom had gunshot wounds to the head, while others displayed injuries indicative of being thrown into the well alive, according to Hisham Zain al-Abdin, the forensic medicine director for Khartoum state.
Additional corpses have also been located alongside roads and concealed in basements within the Sharg Elnil district. Some of these victims were found bound, implying possible executions, Zain al-Abdin noted. He remarked on the disturbing nature of the scenes uncovered during these recoveries.
